This project was a design and construction of a new Main Entry Facility for the Naval Air Station North Island, Coronado, California. Site preparation included demolition of two buildings and modification of the existing Main Gate for out bound only traffic. The facility included extending Stockdale Road on base to meet Alameda Street, lining up with 3rd Street in the City of Coronado. The project provided a new Visitor Center, truck inspection station, vehicle inspection area, guard house, sentry booths, watch positions, bus and taxi transit center, parking, perimeter security fencing, utilities, security systems, and miscellaneous site improvements.
