This project included the complete renovation of 59,330 square feet of administrative and shop spaces within the two-story portion of this five-module hangar. The hangar was originally constructed in the 1960’s, and the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s fighter training squadrons have changed drastically. The spaces were gutted to the shell and altered. This renovation resulted in a hangar design that will meet the needs of the Navy well into the future with modernized facilities, including energy efficient mechanical and electrical systems, durable finishes, state of the art data and communications systems, and aircraft hangar fire suppression system.
