Design/Build project. Construction of an explosion proof and fire-resistant, reinforced concrete masonry building. Included reinforced concrete slab on grade foundation, concrete masonry walls, standing seam metal roof and fascia. The refueling vehicle repair shop consists of six high bay drive through vehicle maintenance areas, with sloped concrete floors and longitudinal drain lines connected to an oil/water separator, front and rear high bay roll up doors, sound attenuated administrative office with air conditioning, industrial windows, restrooms, locker rooms, tool room, storage area, and one covered vehicle holding shed for each squadron. Facility designed to service the various types of refueler tankers supporting the air station. Paving and site improvements included exterior site and building lighting, paved parking area and sidewalks, perimeter fencing, earthwork, grading and landscaping. Also included Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection features, Technical Operation Manuals, and environmental mitigation.
